By car, train, bus or plane, campers come to one of four technology camp locations from near and far, including foreign countries. Emagination's quiet suburban campuses have high quality classroom, recreation, dining and dormitory facilities that are conducive to camper safety and an enriching summer technology camp experience.



It's More than Technology
A summer at Emagination is much more than exciting techology learning. We bring together "kids like me" in a comfortable environment where they are encouraged to express their creativity and develop friendships, social skills and self-confidence. Many campers would like to be on the computer 24/7 but we believe that recreation and social time is a very important part of a successful camp experience. Our Programs
At our computer camps, Emagination offers two-week Overnight and Day technology camp programs for boys and girls ages 8-17. Campers select three Tech Workshops from over twenty choices and everyone takes a recreation period. Evening and weekend fun summer camp activities and an end-of-camp party round out the program.

Emagination Balances Technology Learning with Fun Camp Activities
Emagination balances cutting edge technology learning with the activities and lifetime benefits of a traditional summer camp experience. Campers create a 3D animation and go for a swim….design a web page and play kickball…..hang out with friends and "talk tech". We believe that recreation is essential for healthy minds and bodies. That's why it is required as one of four workshops during the day and is a key part of evening and weekend activities.

Two-week Sessions. Overnight & Day Program Options
Recent studies indicate that longer camp sessions lead to greater personal growth and development. Emagination's two week sessions allow enough time to gain the benefits of a traditional summer camp experience---separation from home, responsibility to community, new friends and improved self-confidence. More Workshop Choices
Emagination offers an unsurpassed choice of over 20 exciting Tech Workshops for beginners to experts. Campers take three Tech Workshops per session, which range in size from 5-10 campers. In many workshops a Program Assistant helps the counselor instructor which facilitates more individual attention.

Tomorrow's Technology Leaders Get a Head Start at Emagination
	Future animated film creators learn 3-D Animation using 3D Studio Max, the industry standard in animation software. Just like the pros, campers create 3D environments with objects and text and cool lighting effects.
	Future game developers don't just play video games, they create them! Emagination puts your camper's interest in video games to productive use.
	Future IT executives learn about computer systems and networks and campers develop their mechanical skills by building a Robots or Radio-controlled car.
	Future software developers and programmers learn core programming skills and can move on to a variety of today's important languages.

Emagination's technology camps have so much more than just great Tech Workshops----Saturday Showdown (for day campers too!) Rec & Tech, Techno-Talent Night, Fun Friday, open lab time, Tech Talk, awards and celebrations, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DDR---- all are part of the summer camp experience at Emagination.

All staff members are adults. Some are former campers.

Pre-employment interviews, reference checks and background checks.

American Camp Association Accredited Camps

Campers Grouped by Age
	Younger campers aged 8-10, we call them Kilobytes, have earlier bedtimes and receive assistance with daily living activities. Kilobytes eat all meals together with their assigned counselors and they are segregated to the extent practicable during recreation. They have earlier bed times and are welcome to play "E" rated games during evening recreation.
	Campers aged 11-13, we call them Megabytes, make up the largest group at camp. Megabytes create excitement at camp---whether talking over their workshop projects, meeting in their small groups or sharing pizza with new friends. Overnight Megabytes have a later bedtime than Kilobytes and have fun playing "E" and selected "T" games during evening recreation.
	Campers entering 9th grade or higher after camp are Senior Campers, we call them Gigabytes. Gigabytes have a Saturday night LAN Party and they are allowed internet access in the dorms. Gigabytes have access to "E", "T" and a small number of "M" games that have been reviewed and approved by Emagination's corporate staff. As older members of the camp community, Gigabytes have modest responsibilities such as escorting younger campers around camp, helping with attendance and assisting with Login and Logout.

Leadership Program for Selected Campers
Campers who are entering 10th grade or higher after camp, and who have completed at least one session at Emagination in the past, may be invited to apply to be a Program Assistant. The program is selective and the number of positions limited. Program Assistants participate in leadership training and are responsible for assisting counselors in the delivery of Emagination's program to all its campers. However, they do not teach workshops and are not substitutes for counselors. Read more about the Leadership Program.

ACA Accredited Camps
Emagination is accredited by the American Camp Association. We operate our technology camps to meet or exceed ACA's rigorous standards that cover every aspect of operating summer camps for children.
