Learn from Guest Speakers
At Inside Gaming learn key elements of video
game design as guest speakers from the industry, as well as Instructors,
present their views and experiences. Is
it the Storyline? Game World? Physics? Characters? Sounds? What compels
you to play a game again? Past speakers have come from Electronic
Arts, Rock Star Games, Blue Fang Games, Seven Studios, Hi-Rez Studios,
Blue-Heat Games, 8-D World.

We tour and meet with execs at a local game
design studio. See the pros in action while you learn how video games
are designed and created in the real world.

Gaming
at Night and Daily Recreation
Of course there's console and network gaming tournaments at night
(its research!) and time each day for games on the field and swimming
in the pool.
Get Unplugged on Saturday
You need a break. Get Unplugged on Saturday in outdoor games and
get ready for the Saturday night LAN party. You will have a blast
with new friends at game design camp.
Typical Daily Schedule
Instruction begins at 9:30 AM and runs through the end of Inside
Gaming at 8:00 PM. There will be breaks for lunch, dinner and daily
recreation. Gaming and open labs run from 8:00 PM until around 11:00
PM.
Curriculum Developed in Consultation with
Game Industry Legend
The curriculum for Emagination's game design camp was developed
with Rick Goodman, the legendary creator of Empire Earth and Lead
Designer of Age of Empires, two of the largest selling and most
critically acclaimed Real Time Strategy games of all time. Rick
has been a frequent speaker at our teen summer camps sharing his
eight steps to creating great games.

send you a $25 Visa Gift Card. There is no limit --- get $25 for
every new participant that you refer to Emagination.
The Rick Goodman Scholarship Program
The Emagination Foundation is pleased to offer the Rick Goodman
Scholarship Program. This program was created to honor Rick's innumerable
accomplishments in the video game industry as well as his contributions
to the development of Emagination Game Design.
A select number of partial tuition scholarships will be granted
to applicants based upon financial need and demonstrated interest
in video game design and development. Students interested in applying
