OUR PROGRAMS - GAME DESIGN FOR TEENS
For Parents
Who should come
to Emagination Game Design?
Emagination Game Design is an academically oriented pre-college
video game design program for 15-18 year olds. Students
should have a passion for video games and a desire to learn the
design and development process.
This summer course puts teen's interest in video games to productive
use! The program is a perfect pre-college experience that will help
students discover and refine their skills, interests and goals.
Students learn the video game design process as practiced in the
industry today. They develop essential skills, join a development
team, build a playable game, present to a panel of experts and visit
a game design company. They also learn from guest speakers from
game companies.

by guest speakers from game development companies. Past speakers
have come from Electronic Arts, Blue Fang Games, Seven Studios,
Hi-Rez Studios and Blue-Heat Games.

Sponsored by Emagination Computer Camps
Emagination Game Design is sponsored and operated by Emagination
Computer Camps, a leader in technology education since 1982. Emagination's
mission is to educate, entertain and help develop healthy kids.
Emagination Computer Camps operates summer technology camps for
children ages 8-17 on campuses near Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and
Philadelphia. Emagination is accredited by the American Camp Association.
Emagination's computer camp program offers an extensive selection
of workshops in Video Game Design. Emagination Game Design was developed
especially for older teens who are serious about learning the game
design process as it is practiced in the industry today.
Supervision and Healthcare
Participants are supervised 24/7 by Emagination Instructors and
staff members. Students live in a dorm room with a roommate. Instructors
live in the dorm with students and students may not leave campus
on their own for the duration of the program. Certain Instructors
are trained in CPR/First Aid and are available to assist with medication
administration and minor medical issues. There is a hospital nearby
for emergencies. The Massachusetts camp has a nurse on staff.
Daily Recreation
Each day students will have the opportunity to engage in outdoor
recreation and swimming is available on certain days. The program
is intensive but we believe that recreation is important for healthy
minds and bodies.
Is transportation available?
Yes. Emagination staff members pick up and drop off students at
nearby airports and other transportation terminals. See Transportation.
Families wanting this service will complete a Transportation Form
that is included in the Parent Packet that will be available on
